🥥 FYI, Mary, and others: As @MargaretKimberly's post shows, the @TheAdmin account on #newsie.social seems to be the place where the most up-to-date notices about the status of the server are posted first.
To answer your question, Mary, some images are showing on my devices, some are not.
@TheAdmin posted about that being the result of some images not having been saved -- if I understand correctly, which I may not have.

Any recommendations for alternatives to the #newsie #server ? Looking for a server that supports images and has a decent amount of users.

Haven't been able to upload media for 24 hours.
May have to change instance. Quite sad since I donated last year and things have fallen apart.

Has anyone moved their account from one server to another? How big of a pain in the ass is it? I've been happy on #newsie.social, but its performance has been so poor and erratic that it's no longer reliable. Constant Cloudflare errors, and obscenely long load times means it's virtually unusable for large portions of the day. If anyone has gone through the process of migrating to a new server, I'd love to hear from you.

Is anyone else on #Newsie.social having recurring issues with extremely slow and/or failing connections?

When I first joined, there was little or no lag. Now, there are almost constant long lag times whenever I try to refresh the feed, open a link to a specific Mastodon post, boost a post, etc...

Who do I contact for technical help? I am using a desktop computer connected by wire to a cable internet connection. Below is the error message I keep getting.
