Gerard and Celeste (from the podcast Stamps Aren't Cool) came on In Those Days to talk about their un-mutual love of stamps.

We read newspaper articles on stamps and relationships from . We learned a lot about stamps, the people who love them, & the people who love the people who love them.

We spoke to my friend and cool librarian Nerida Lloyd about her spinster great aunts Pat and Nonie. They lived at the Court House Hotel with their publican father.

The were regularly written about in the social pages of the Border Morning Mail by the reporter "Constance".

Princess Alexandra Kropotkin was a magazine columnist, translated War and Peace, wrote a Russian cookbook and she wrote a LADIES QUIZ in 1943, which I found in .

Our guest, Vaya Pashos is one of Australia's top TV quiz writers so it was very interesting to hear her stories & what she made of the Princess's questions.

I helped a family member find some information on Trove today and I realised again that Trove is busting at the seams with content related to my partner's side of the family and some of it is specifically library related.

Seems like I should be doing episodes on them, but it feels like there's too much information and I might not do it justice.

It's easier to focus when you can only find a few articles over a person's whole life.

On our latest podcast episode, physiotherapist Mary-Anne Tangey joined us to discuss historical articles from that mention the pelvic floor.

We also tried to answer the question that launched 1000 opinion columns: Should women ride horses side-saddle or astride?

Start keeping a notepad with you at all times (paper or phone app). Jot down ANYthing that comes to mind, ANY idea-- a story plot, a char name, a description of a place, a weird turn of phrase-- ANYthing.

Later, go through that when you run out of .

For now, you can also browse through old stories & "weird true tales" videos for ideas.

On @InThoseDays we spoke to my cousin Felicity Law who has been involved in forest activism and the very successful greater glider court case in Victoria.

We looked back into the newspaper archives to see that threats to greater gliders from habitat loss was understood decades ago.

We no longer call them flying squirrels but VicForests is still cutting down their habitat.

I tagged a lot of the newspaper articles I found on greater gliders in . This should make them more findable in the future as greater gliders were often referred to as 'flying squirrels' or 'flying phalangers' in the past.

The tag is here:

We talked with forest defender Felicity Law about gliders in the latest episode of In Those Days. Searching the newspaper archives in I found out gliders were called 'flying squirrels' or 'flying phalangers' in the olden days.

These days greater gliders and yellow-bellied gliders are threatened species and we need to save their habitat.

'Here's one of the most precious things I have to leave you (holding copy of Treaty of Versailles) ... and it's not worth much'
