@Daojoan I think a lot of that kind of content will come (already is coming) from #nonprofit #newsrooms and organizations, such as the Economic Hardship Reporting Project, The Trace, the Marshall Project and others. One encouraging sign this week was the purchase of the Portland Press Herald, Maine's largest paper, but the Nonprofit Trust for Local News. And if there's a part of the #news biosphere that is most vital to everyday life, it's #LocalNews.

Due to the lack of backup when staff are sick or on vacation, producing a newscast on schedule won't be possible and syndicated or paid programming fills the time slot. Department managers will be lost and leadership becomes fractured. The spiral will continue until a hiatus is declared, which will be difficult to come back from.
