Was #Jesus actually given a decent burial the afternoon he was #crucified? Almost every #Christian in the known universe, and almost all #NewTestament scholars, don’t ask the question and if they do they don’t ask it seriously: of *course* he was. Just read the #Gospels! Why wouldn’t he be?

How could they consider the #God of the #OldTestament to be a lower level and inferior #divinity, and this #materialuniverse to be a #cosmic disaster? Did #Gnostics have their own #Scriptures? Did they use the books that later became the #NewTestament? If so, why didn't they just admit their views were wrong?

Unfortunately, #ThomasJefferson, 3rd#POTUS was a critic of Paul, the #Apostle of the #Gentiles, who wrote 14 of the 27 #NewTestament #Scriptures accepted by many #Church Leaders for Centuries!!

In a letter to William Short in 1820, Jefferson described many biblical passages as "so much untruth, charlatanism and imposture". In the same letter Jefferson states he describes Paul as the "first corrupter of the doctrines of Jesus".[60]

“Paul was the great Coryphaeus, and first corrupter of the doctrines of #Jesus. these palpable interpolations and falsifications of his doctrines led me to try to sift them apart.” #Monticello Apr. 13, 1820
