A short video of the Black-crowned Night Heron that turned up in Newton Abbot yesterday. I'm told an over enthusiastic photographer got too close this morning and it flew off (and not been since). So annoying when people don't respect nature and wildlife.

Met up with two of the Exeter Daves and drove just down the road to see the Black-crowned Night Heron. Enjoyed the best views I've had of one in Devon. Great way to end a Friday! Always good to see Rob and @stephmurphy too

I’m speaking at the Pen and Ink convention in #NewtonAbbot #devon on Friday 24 Feb.
As I was putting this talk together, I realised that each book represents a different way of getting your comics out there, even if you don’t have a publisher.
So I hope attendees will come away with a new belief that they can make comics - without waiting for anyone to ask you to! Hope to see you there.

🏴 St Leonard's Tower, commonly known as "The Clock Tower", in the town of Newton Abbot, in Devon, South West England - a vintage photochrom print from the 1890s. Digitally enhanced to compensate for fading.
The Gothic tower was built in the 15th-century, and it still stands there, just without the ivy.

This is the river lemon as it emerges from the culvert which takes it under the town. In the summer there was about six inches of standing water in here. #devon #newtonabbot
