I think I've finally figured out what annoys me about #NuTrek - it feels unbelievably safe!

The effects are fantastic and all, but I don't think one of these episodes has challenged any part of my worldview at all, and that seems kinda sad. I can see why, they're spending a boatload of cash on so few episodes that they can't afford to alienate anyone.

I guess the #StarfleetAcademy show is a thing (I'd evidently missed a memo) AND ... Tawny Newsome will be one of the writers. Like many of the folks behind the camera on #NewTrek, she's a huge Trek fan-girl.

#NewTrek production crew does a very good job blending old and new ... this is another example! Sam is a lot less dead in this series, too, which is nice.

We were musing earlier about how much Spock's backstory has been fleshed out in #newtrek. Love it. The species made up entirely of automated customer service phone systems was fun, too.

Nachdem mir #StrangeNewWorlds schon so krass gefallen hat, gehe ich jetzt auch noch auf die 2. Staffel #Picard ab!

Wenn das so weitergeht, wage ich mich womöglich sogar noch an #Discovery Staffel 2.

@vallik Haha fair enough. I guess it's just more my thing, when my wife is away and I have the TV to myself it's Trek Time! Though #NewTrek is definitely bringing her into the fold.
