Goals for 2023

I never really make "resolutions" but I do always think it's good to have goals for the year. Melanie asked me what my goals were on New Year's Eve and I had to pause because I hadn't put much thought into it. But it's good to have them! So here are a few for the year:

Do not set one New Years Goal. Give yourselves 12 small goals for the year. Work on one per month. Make sure they are reasonable. Do not push your body. Hopefully this year is a happier year for everyone. #newyearsgoals

I resolve to continue adding native plants and ripping out invasive ones in my wildlife refuge and to hold at least one tour to show how to use #inaturalist to report wildlife observations. I think people, especially kids, would be impressed to know there are Hump-backed Beewolves around here!

What do we plan for 2023: #NewYearsGoals
- adding some more co-workers (master & doctoral students) to the group as soon as funding is cleared
- two more project proposals in the making
- have a look at some more exotic (multivalent) ions that can be conducted in solids apart from O2-, Li+ and H+
- come up with some new ideas on in-situ/ in-operando measurement setups for our #AFM
