#Element #Android can actually use #UnifiedPush so you can get push notifications without #Google #FCM.

I run a #Nextcloud instance with the #NextcloudUnifiedPush app and #NextPush on my phone and it works nicely.

Person 1 uses a Nextcloud instance and a root server, where uppush/Redis etc. could be installed. Person 2 also uses a Nextcloud instance, but on shared webhosting (on a different server).

Is it possible to use https://apps.nextcloud.com/apps/uppush and/or #NextPush for more than one Nextcloud instance? 🤔

Und #UnifiedPush mit #NextPush klappt ebenso. Leider hat die #NextCloud aber doch mehr Schwächen im Vergleich zu #Google als ich dachte. Aber das ist es mir wert.

Hat hier einer #Hetzner Storage Share (#Nextcloud, NX11) und kann mir sagen, ob und, wenn ja, wie Recognize (#AI Photo Tagging) damit funktioniert? Oder #nextpush

Man bekommt anscheinend nur 1 GB RAM, für Recognize sollte man 3 GB haben, ginge aber ggf. auch mit weniger, steht in den Docs.

NextPush scheitert wohl an #Redis Abhängigkeit?!

Wenn das beides nicht funktioniert, ist der Traum, damit #Google adäquat ersetzen zu können, wohl geplatzt. 😞

I'll be using #Matrix with #Element/#Fluffychat until you decide that #UnifiedPush is a thing and #privacy is actually important. Users already made #NextPush to make it easier. Is the current situation even #GDPR compliant?

This is more important than making the interface slightly prettier in Hub 3.

I have @nextcloud installed through @yunohost . I just installed the #UnifiedPush servet app in #Nextcloud (=>v25), and the #NextPush #Android app from #Fdroid on my phone. Choose Nextpush in @fedilab and #Element and it all works perfectly!

More battery life and less #Google spying on my notifications! 🌈

I'm kind of surprised Nextcloud, @k9mail, #Discourse, #KDE #PlasmaMobile etc haven't gotten on board yet. 🤔😉

@herrgnatz @kuketzblog find ich IMHO datenschutztechnisch wesentlich sinnvoller als #ntfy, wo man per Default nur den einem MITM durch den anderen austauscht. Mit #NextPush ist der i.d.R. unter eigener Kontrolle - und es ist eben *kein* Default eingetragen.

دیشب #nextpush رو نصب کردم و روی سرورم کانفیگ #apache رو اصلاح کردم و افزونه مورد نیاز #nextcloud رو نصب کردم و همه چیز اوکی شد.
اما اشکالی وجود داره. nextpush هرازگاهی این پیغام رو میده:
NextPush is disconnected
و بعد از مدتی برطرف می‌شه. این رخداد در زمانهای متفاوتی تکرار می‌شه. مستندات #unifiedpush اطلاعاتی درخصوص این مشکل نداشت. کسی تجربه ای در این زمینه داره راهنمایی کنه؟

Actually Element uses Google FCM by default unless you install an alternative push notification client such as NextPush and configure it to use an alternative push server.

It's true that it *can* operate without connecting to Google, but it's not accurate to say that it never sends notification info to Google.

Kann man damit neben den Nextcloud Benachrichtigungen auch z.B. Mastodon (FediLab) Benachrichtigungen pushen lassen?
