I study #immunity #genes and #immune #evolution, including host - #pathogen interactions. My work has focused on #antimicrobial #defense #peptides which are #antibiotics coded by the #genome . A key focus in #microbiome 🦠 , and #inflammation & #NFkB in #aging and #senescence .

Focus on #Drosophila but work in other #species whenever possible to improve evolutionary context.
