#SkyWatch #Astrophotography This image of a small part of #UrsaMajor shows at least 4 galaxies: #Bode's (M81), #Cigar (M82), #NGC3077, and #NGC2976 . These galaxies are between 11 and 14 million light years from Earth and each contains billions (with a b) of stars. I had planned to spend a couple of hours capturing this image but the clouds rolled in after 20 minutes. #StillLearning

NGC 3077
Magnitude 10.6 small disrupted elliptical galaxy located 12.8 million light-years away in the constellation Ursa Major. It was discovered by William Herschel in 1801.
