The western side of the retaining wall for the cloverleaf intersection has now been completely removed and they are preparing to build the other half of the side track.
The rebar cage is being built around a beautiful piece of what I can only presume to be water filtration piping (in the bright blue on the front, left hand side of the pic).
Electrical conduit is being inserted on the other side of the road.
It’s all happening at the Raise London Circuit site

I enjoyed the 21-degree temps this afternoon. It’s unseasonably warm for Canberra but won’t last: rain is forecast for the weekend. Soon, the slide into a long winter will start and it will be time to break out the puffer jackets and boots!

Tree felled by lightning in Mulligans Flat Nature Reserve, Canberra, on Thursday. The trunk split almost down to the roots. Appliances in a building a hundred metres away were fried. Awesome power of nature!
