Walking into the university after the rain in #Bristol this morning, realising my shoes have got a bit Sam Vimes and worn too thin for such weather, and that I can tell which street I'm on by the feel of the cobbles beneath my soles. My walk in us about 3 miles/40 minutes each way, a little bit more currently as half the bridges across the river are out. When doing 15000 steps a day the impending doom of my footwear has a habit of creeping up on me... #walking #discworld #nichereference
