Copenhagen Cowboy est la dernière série de Nicolas Winding Refn (Drive) et c’est magnifique comme toujours, très mystérieux… peut-être un petit peu trop pour son bien. J’ai beaucoup aimé les premiers épisodes, moins la fin.

Ça reste à voir si vous acceptez de vous laisser porter par une histoire étrange sans avoir toutes les explications. Et si vous avez l’écran OLED qui magnifiera ces néons.

Nicolas Winding Refn aime la nuit, la violence des gangsters, les rythme lents et les accélérations soudaines, les panos et les longs plans fixes, abuser des filtres monochromes, rouge et bleu surtout. Sa série Copenhagen Cowboy sur @NetflixFR ne déroge pas à ces règles. Bizarre, glauque, aussi bien envoûtant qu'angoissant.

Refn is no fluke. His unabashed operatic, Kubrick-esque stylings and Tom Hardy's showboating, over-the-top performance are totally magnetic. I loved all the unmotivated angles and dolly shots. A great soundtrack too: it has the best use of a Pet Shop Boys song ever. A blast!
