Bola Ahmed Tinubu: From Drug Lord To Presidential Candidate (and now President-elect)

‘Grab it! Snatch it! And run with it!’
"Tinúbú epitomises everything that is wrong with the old guard who have trashed their ‘fatherland’ over the six decades of what has passed for our independence. But our much-compromised legal system can’t be relied on to see justice done, even if there is no substance to the rumours, categorically denied by Ọnánúgà, that Tinúbú and the chief justice met secretly in London earlier this month."

The #nigerianelections are over and Tinubu won, while better than Abubakar it is still a bummer that Obi didn't win. On a positive note, Peter Obi won Lagos and Abuja while getting 6.1 million votes.
Lagos is the commercial powerhouse of Nigeria and Abuja the capital.

Seeing a lot of doctored ("mutilated") results sheets against the Labour Party for the #NigerianElections, shared by my connections there (on :birdsite:)
Some videos of people maimed for refusing to alter documents. Reports of others being killed.

Peter Obi was announced as the winner in Lagos state, home to the largest city in Africa, after defeating frontrunner Bola Tinubu. Full results in Nigeria’s presidential election are expected in the next few days.

They're collating the results of the Nigerian elections. It seems to be a close race between Tinubu, Obi, and Atiku:
