The gist of these episodes is that a scientist at the local college destroys some local people/entities by scientifically studying and explaining them. Night Vale doesn't shy away from making political points and there's a lot of things to say about how people get hurt in the name science, but I feel like they didn't articulate those things very well and it comes across as "explaining things is bad because it destroys *beauty* and *poetry*".

What have you guys been #reading lately? I finished The Faceless Old Woman Who Secretly Lives in Your Home (from the #NightVale team). Its pretty decent. The contemporary portions of the book really feel like classic #wtnv episodes and the flashbacks sound like a totally different character.
I started reading The Invention of Sound today, by Chuck Palahniuk. So far so Chuck. Not as good as Rant or Survivor, but Im enjoying it
