Just returned from #Egypt , where an already large Sudanese community is a constant reminder of the crisis at & behind the southern border.

When years ago I was in #Khartoum #Omdurman and Wadi Halfa, new bridges built across the #Nile by #Chinese companies gave a sense of progress, #Darfur seemed far away, and I found very pleasant people.
