My other problems with replacing an alkaline by #NiMH #battery are self-discharge rate (which might be improved in newer NiMH batteries), some of my AA batteries being too wide to fit in some devices (I should solve this by getting lower capacity NiMH), and vendors often providing alkaline batteries with their products.
Most devices that I have with AA batteries support NiMH, while theoretically some could require a higher voltage of alkalines.
Years ago charging a #NiMH #battery took almost a day and as they self-discharge quickly, I wouldn't have well-charged spares to swap when a device turns off due to insufficient charge.
Today I bought a modern charger for these, with a display showing when the battery is fully charged and needing just several hours to charge the ones I have.
Hopefully this will reduce my use of non-rechargeable AA batteries.
Zu den AA/AAA #LiIon-Zellen mit #USB:
Selten sinnvoll.
Spannungslage meist besser (DC-DC-Wandler).
Schlechteres Verhalten im Leistungsbetrieb.
Selbstentladung: Keine nennenswerten Unterschiede.

Endless joy. :â -â )
Why did I stop the logging after almost 12 days? The batteries got too low - down to 0.9V/cell. That's a good place to stop discharging #NiMH AAs.
I spent nearly zero effort thinking about power efficiency, but getting about 2 weeks on a set of AAs isn't bad.
It uses a #LM317 to get a steady 3.3V, but there are better ways (with smaller dropout and lower energy waste) that I should look into. I measured 4.5mA current on the LM317's output, which I bet I could reduce. #electronics
So, #Battery question:
I am buying my mom some LED candles for #Christmas.
And I want to buy rechargeable batteries for them. I already have this recharger: https://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-K-KJ17MCA4BA-Individual-eneloop-Rechargeable/dp/B00JHKSMJU/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?crid=1AR2N1828AMSX&keywords=eneloop+charger&qid=1670078508&sprefix=endloop+recarger%2Caps%2C63&sr=8-2-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzRjVRRDBIWDE3MjhEJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwOTI2ODAzMU5VNEhHWURLWlZQMCZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwNzU3ODc4M0JFMFpMRTZCS0FZOSZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=
Should I buy more Endloop batteries? Or will cheaper ones not explode in this?
Any advice?
