Bookclub2 just read Barbara Kingsolver’s Demon Copperfield.

Since I was asked to join this new group 2 days earlier, there clearly wasn't enough time to read the 548 page novel.

However I was able to contribute to the discussion by watching the brilliant BookStorm Podcast.

There are no spoilers but an in- depth look at some of the main themes,

spending much of our lives finding love and acceptance, friends type family, community and networks,

as well as compassion, addiction, poverty, under-funded educational systems, and foster care which is an outrageous for profit in the US.

Basically Damon the boy becomes a commodity.

It’s a story I haven’t read, and probably never will because the next book is over 700 pages long! What? Looking forward to it though,

Ninth Street Women by Mary Gabriel. I’ll do my best. I’ve already started watching videos about Lee Krasner whilst waiting for the book from our library.
