Anyone out there playing #NISEI #Netrunner ?
I remember being intrigued by Android: Netrunner and then it got cut before I had a chance to buy some. Seemed like a shame.

Today in Labor History June 2, 1945: World War II: The segregated, all-Nisei U.S. 522nd Field Artillery Battalion stopped a death march from Dachau to the Austrian border. As a result, they saved several hundred prisoners. Ironically (and criminally), back in the states, most Nisei (Japanese-Americans) were living in concentration camps.

@workingclasshistory Gathering almost entirely second-generation American soldiers of Japanese descent, the 442nd U.S. Infantry Regiment became *the most decorated in U.S. military history*, fighting in the European theater of World War II.
Many of these soldiers had families in American concentration camps, while they were serving & dying for the U.S., also for their white fellow-Americans.

Chess-Boxing? Pff...
What about playing Corp vs Runner and Runner vs Corp (essentially 2 games) at the same time while also drinking vodka?
That is a hardcore competition.
Remembrance for the Day the Cat Jumped.
And, as taught me by Dr. Ginger Wilson at Duke University when I was 13 years old: just as it’s necessary to remember the infamy of Dec. 7, 1941, so too must we remember the infamy of Executive Order 9066, which two months later authorized the forced relocation of Japanese-Americans — #Issei and #Nisei alike — from the West Coast of the United States to internment camps further inland.
