Dr Ann Moyal AM FAHA (1926–2019) was a Petherick reader, a Harold White Fellow and an established historian of science and technology. As a champion of independence in research and scholarly pursuits, she established the Independent Scholars Association of Australia in 1995 during the ‘Against the Grain’ conference, held at the Library.

#Trove Usage Drops 50% in 2 Years. External review needed.

My chart from #NLA Annual Reports. Because 3 data points (my previous post) are not sufficient, here are all 6 available.* NLA gives no explanation for this performance crash. However the 2020 Trove release would appear to be responsible. (I've previously tweeted #TroveAu on birdsite.)

I think it's time there was an external review of Trove; NLA is too conflicted.

* Note: Annual Report doesn't explain the 2020 label change from "Visits" to "Sessions" and whether they are the same measure.
