Senate Committee on Agriculture Forestry and Nutrition Wednesday moved to forward the nomination of former #NM02 U.S. Rep. Xochitl Torres Small to be deputy Secretary of Agriculture out of committee and to the full Senate for consideration.

This past week campaign finance reports in #NM02 showed Democratic U.S. Rep. Gabe Vasquez with a commanding lead over Republican former U.S. Rep. Yvette Herrell in what is shaping up to be a 2024 rematch of their donnybrook of a campaign last year.

The reports showed that between Jan. 1 and March 30. Vasquez's re-election effort received $365,385, Herrell's campaign took in $21,053.
