@micahflee before I used #tailscale I used #nmap on my own devices a lot to see what services came online
Following the #nmap scan there are no ports open, tried aggressive scanning and also os defection but not getting anything. It does respond to pings.
Going back to the uart I feel like I should be able to interrupt the boot process or at least see get some character returns on the console, there is an unpopulated resistor adjacent to the header, might be that I need to connect this. Time to pull out the #soldering iron…
Okay I’ve managed to get it to accept an ip address (getting a dhcpd server working on osx (my host) is a little bit fiddly). Currently running #nmap to see if any ports are open.
Also I’ve found some documentation about a similar board https://github.com/neuschaefer/linux/wiki/M7T75B—ZC01—01
It suggests that it’s a MStar MSD7T75 SoC

#music on a #modular #synthesizer for a Monday morning. I'm sort of building my synthesizer to be more of a "1970s" analog synthesizer that has that classic warmth, instead of a "1980s" synthesizer, that sounds like a vintage computer. But for those of you interested, there are modules that let you access a C64 SID chip in your modular synth and really let you bleep and bloop! ... But that's not what I did here ;p
Mood: grateful for nmap

#OpenSource #ITsecurity

#SocialMedia #Twitter #Copyright #Music #Publishing #USA #NMAP: "The National Music Publishers’ Association sued Twitter Inc. Wednesday, alleging it violates the copyright of songwriters by using their music on its platform without permission.
Twitter is one of the only major social media platforms that doesn’t pay music rights to holders for licenses to their work. YouTube, Facebook, Snap and TikTok all have agreements that collectively pay the music industry billions of dollars a year.
The NMPA — the leading advocate for songwriters in the US, which counts many of the largest music companies among its members — is seeking a court declaration that Twitter willfully infringed the musical work for approximately 1700 songs . The organization filed the complaint in federal court in Nashville on behalf of 17 music publishers, including Sony Music and Universal Music Publishing Group.
The companies are seeking up to $150,000 for every piece of work infringed, among other damages. Twitter didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment."

Does anyone know how to properly contribute to nmap so that the contribution might actually get accepted?
They mention opening a pull request on github and mentioning that on the mailing list but at 220 open pulls and almost zero responses on the list that seems to be ineffective...eng

@selea That was my first guess. I have a docker host, i checked there, that's not it. I may have found it though.
Looking at the pi-hole logs there's a LOT of google traffic, including google play. Sounds like an android device.
It is. It's my phone. Galaxy S9. It's chattering away on my wifi. Found the IP in the status screen.
