It has been 1 week since my full time move on #linux
Feels so good to have total control over your system. Im still tweaking some stuff and im enjoying every step.
When it comes to gaming i had zero problems so far. I did have a bit of trouble setting EA Origin through #lutris but once i did #masseffect run like on #windows.
I dont see my self going back. For my needs #nobara gives me everything and more.

Goodbye #Windows and hello #linux
After 2 years of dual booting and trying different distros on virtual machines i have finally settled for good. Only thing holding me so long was Nvidia. I have sold my gpu and bought #amd rx7900.
My distro is #nobara with #kde
For now i have try only #BaldursGate3 #yakuzakiwami2 and #hallsoftorment
All 3 runs like a charm.

Testing #NobaraOS 38 and it is working really good even with #Wayland 🚀 Running #AMD GPU...

Wow, getting @veloren set up tonight on #Nobara was a massive pain. Went the Flatpak route, as is my preference, but the game repeatedly failed to launch. I could launch the game with root privileges, but that was a no-go for obvious reasons.

Tried a ton of stuff to no avail. Then, I used Flatseal to disable the #Wayland socket and suddenly, everything worked. Game launched, I could login, etc.

This might be good in the documentation for users struggling with Wayland.

I often have a hard time figuring out differences in performance from one version of something to another. But it's obvious even to me that Control plays a loooot better on my PC with #Nobara 38 than it did with 37.

But I also figured out that it's not actually my kinda game. At least not to play alone. I'd be happy to watch, and try my hand from time to time, with someone else. #LinuxGaming #Linux

The only problem I've noticed so far (I upgraded a few hours ago) is that three finger gestures has stopped working. I know that's important to some, but I never use it. And I saw one other mentioning issues with that after install, so I don't really think it's a problem with upgrading. Though I don't know.

Still, I would not really recommend #Nobara to newbies, though. You should know a little bit about Linux (I only know a little myself) before using this, IMO.

I switched from Windows to #Ubuntu Linux in 2006, and used exclusively Ubuntu until, idunno, maybe four years ago. In all that time, I never had a good experience upgrading from one version to the next. I always had to do a clean install, so after a while I mostly stopped trying upgrading, but still did try one more time somewhere close to the end of that period, I think. Same outcome.

Now I just did my second upgrade of #Nobara Linux, based on Fedora, and it seems to have worked fine! #Linux
