Good to see any improvements.
There should be no parking anywhere on a public road or street. If I don't get to leave my tent, potted plants, bicycle, tool shed or other property in the street at no cost, why should a car owner get to leave their property on the street?

I have a parking mandate.

Park your car on your own property.

If I can't pitch a tent or leave a potted plant in the street, why should some self-entitled asshole get to leave their car there?

If you don't have room on your property for a car, then you shouldn't be allowed to register the car. That's what they do in Japan.
You have to prove you have a place to park a car or they won't issue tags for it.

Why do car owners think they have the right to store their private property at public expense? If you don't have a place to keep your motorized living room set, you shouldn't be allowed to own a car. if a business doesn't have land for parking spaces, why should I pay for extra asphalt on the street for their customers? If finding parking is hard, tough shit! Buy a bicycle.
