This is the sort of scenario I'm thinking of:

The JS the fires on DOMContentLoaded. But I'm assuming the video only loads once everything else has finished in my original question, hence the point about lazy-load, non-blocking.
My question is more about whether to use autoplaying video *at all*.
Any opinions @scottjehl @addyosmani? (sorry to pick you guys out - wracking my brains for perf experts here on Mastodon!)
Why not -if really needed- use "onload" to load heavy bandwith media #suchas #video "#last" ?
