Japan: Foreign journalists to be tracked by GPS at Tokyo Olympics
The president of the Tokyo Olympics, Seiko Hashimoto, announced on June 8 that international journalists will be tracked by GPS while they are in Japan. The International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) condemns the Olympic Organising Committee’s (OOC) complete disregard for privacy.

Sadly the #IOC has been a driving force of #gentrification in many cities that hosted #OlympicGames in the past - apart from causing massive deficits for the construction of stadiums no one needs after. The cooperation with #AirBnB is a further push by the IOC to make Olympic host cities utterly unaffordable for the non-rich. I'm sad to say so, but for me it's clearly #NOlympics. The only ones profitting are IOC officials and big construction companies. #sports
