We interviewed a man yesterday who took one look at our Kodak Master Field Camera, and started talking about being a photographer for the navy in his youth. This in itself meant a lot, we know that the Camera was built for and used by the military, but beyond that we know very little. Later that day he emailed us this photo of himself with the camera that he learned on in the Navy. I will never get over the connections we make.

We just put out the first of our new digital zine. This issue includes some of the portraits and transcripts of stories from our time in Rochester NY.
Today it's available for Patreon supporters, and later this week it will go out to paid subscribers on substack. We may eventually have it for sale as a physical zine too!

We're not huge on New Years Resolutions, BUT, We are committing to putting out Zines on a regular basis starting in 2023. We'll be publishing collections of portraits, and FINALLY putting out the small zine of instax photos that we've been wanting to do for ages. Once we finalize designs and prices we will do a pre-order.

2022 was a heck of a year for the ARK. We've interviewed and photographed over 100 people, we drove across the country 2x and we even got Married!
As far as 2023 looks, we have two Gallery Shows lined up already, and we look forward to reconnecting with more of the #believeinfilm community on here.

We've finally been using our Instax wide back for the 4x5 camera! We've had it for over a year, but it didn't really shine till we paired it with our new studio lights.
Having a way to quickly give people a unique and high quality portrait is amazing.
