Loss affects us all differently and waves of feelings can cause stress and upheaval. The usual consolations - fresh air, peaceful surroundings, or distraction of watching a favourite movie may help.
Watching #Nomadland film today reminded me of family I have lost. It was sad but reaffirming of life going on.

Recommended gentle view of both sadness of people who've lost almost everything turning to life on the road in USA, and also joy of people #OnTheRoad discovering a community of nomads and the wonder of wide open spaces and nature.

@rakyat This is ironic given that EEAAO isn't even being screened in China. And Nomadland, the Oscar-winning film of Chloé Zhao, who is actually from Beijing, is banned in the PRC.

I suppose I have a different definition of the cinematographic craft and art from normal people. I like Fellini, Truffaut, Bong Joon-ho ...but nomadland didn't convince me that it felt obliged to captivate.
