I wanted to Jumpstart the flowers, so I had a helper dig some holes. A few new plants and some transplants from the back garden and some wildflower seeds.
It seems less daunting to remove a whole lawn when you realize you can do it one whole at a time!

Here's some more grass. I think this was the favourite of the types I collected. I really like the shapes of the ears (massive assumption as to what they are called there).
It's been an exhausting week, and we're only halfway through. I'm attempting to get up the energy to take some more pics tonight, will see if I just pass out first.

Summer grass.
One of the various stalks of grass I collected from our meadow-lawn over the weekend. Planning to make a series of bookmarks from these.
Of course, since then I've seen grasses I do not have in other people's gardens and am questioning the ethics of going out at night with a pair of scissors and a collecting box.

The mounds are done and the corn is planted.
We have taken the side yard and made it essentially a #NoMow zone.
The clover we planted last year is full and rich and hopefully will continue to take over what is left of the "lawn". It will serve as the border to the garden. Going to over seed the clover again.
When the corn gets around 5 to 6 inches high, the beans goes in!
The rows, marked by yellow, will be raised, boxed beds for veggies. #gardening
