Currently reading #NonatheNinth, book three of the #LockedTomb series. Difficult to get through, #TamsynMuir really makes you work for it. When I'm done maybe restart with #GideonTheNinth and see of I'm ready for #AlectoTheNinth when it is published this year.

Really really enjoying my second read-through of Nona The Ninth. The prose in this book is just endlessly delightful. I think I have a huge smile on my face the whole time I'm reading.

Nona having Pica is such a clever little character quirk. Reading through this time knowing what the resolution is, it just feels so clever.

I didn't post a #review of Nona the Ninth, I don't have anything interesting to say except I love it to death. I love every single character in it, I mean ~obviously~ Ianthe remains best girl but what great characters, what great narration, what great worldbuilding, what great memes.

#LockedTomb is the only series I can think of that made me read all the audiobooks and immediately run for the paper books because I wanted to savour it slower. And I read a _lot_ of lesbian fantasy. I'm so so happy it became a trilogy of four. This series made me a goth glam lesbian necromancer with a futch soldier sharing my body "you were already all that" ok but if I wasn't it would have transitioned me, plural lesbian gothomancy is just idempotent.

This may not have been the best week to start listening to the #NonaTheNinth audiobook. While yes, I unexpectedly have lots of time, I suspect it is confusing enough without also being full of nyquil and/or drifting in and out of sleep. Definitely was not expecting one of the characters to make a “Hungry Caterpillar” reference, or did I dream that… ? Really surreal experience so far tbh 🤔

Very sad. Placed order with @ForbiddenPlanet@twitter.com in August for signed copy of #nonatheninth - eventually got email saying they couldn't fulfil, but here, order bookplate version instead. 2 months after due date get another email saying they can't fulfil this either 😰
