It is jarring to see how many apps ask about your gender. Why is this necessary information in order to sign up to a run tracker, get a bus pass, attend a course or reserve a seat at a concert? And if it is truly a crucial bit of information, why are there so often only exactly two options? Web designers, two things you can do: 1. Ask if this field is really necessary. 2.
