Just an observation. No judgment. I'm not telling people what, or how, to post.

I do believe in

Though. My observation. Is it me - or has the politeness ratio shifted on here.

Is this is a new wave of it?

My local and federated threads seem like there's much more holding onto and projecting aggression lately.

As an empath that doesn't feel good and I can't imagine it feels good to those in that space.

I wrote this line last night in the (as yet, unnamed) fifth book in The Stain series for a situation where words of encouragement might have felt like a condescending "I told you so," to the listener. Cassandra chooses to provide silent support instead.

Today's challenge is to pause before we speak to consider how our words might feel to the other person.

"I'm not a fat person."

I had a client tell me this the other day straightaway, within the first few seconds of our first phone call.

I had already seen their body measurements & knew they were athletic & lean with a healthy body fat range.

They were far from obese.

My question for you, no matter where you are on your health journey, is:

Do you call yourself names?

If so, why?

(Hint: you may be too hard on yourself.)

Most people jump to 'limitation' or 'restriction' when they think about diet or weight loss.

However, limitation is actually 'Level 3'; not Level 1 or 2.

Level 1 is expansion & inclusion - the opposite of what most think, and where most are.

Level 2 is about refinement. Ex: adjusting macros.

Level 3 requires restriction & limitation.

There's a 95% chance you are *not* on Level 3.

You can combine the benefits of exercise and low-level, early morning sunlight.

Both are free gifts for all. Just get outside.

Merry Christmas!

You're not doing anything 'wrong' this holiday season.

You can't stop the holidays from coming. Life always moves forward.

You don't have to beat yourself up about that.

Yes, for some of us holidays are stressful.

Yes, you may need help, tools, or strategies.

But above all else, don't punish yourself.
