A colleague from the campaign side of my org is asking about the feasibility of getting analytics on:

1. Total engagements with a specific hashtag across all platforms, on a specific date

2. Total impressions across all platforms, on a specific date

3. Number of accounts participating

4.Total monetized value 😬

5.Total reach across all platforms

Re: leaving Twitter/X (and this toot is for my #NonprofitComms folks out there):

I led my team through an exercise the other week. I asked them to rapidly list all the reasons we've heard from internal stakeholders why we shouldn't leave Twitter.

They generated a list of about 10 reasons.

Then I asked, one by one, if these statements were TRUE.

And it turns out, only 2 were true AND relevant:
Yes, we have our largest following on Twitter
Yes, connecting to Twitter is still a primary way online advocacy happens.

But even these had serious caveats: Is our following growing? No (the opposite has been happening since the Musk acquisition). Are our advocates using Twitter for advocacy? No. Are electeds engaging with us on Twitter? No.

One by one, the excuses made to stay on Twitter/X were knocked down. There is seriously no REAL reason to stay there.

No evidence-based reason, that is.

We're assigning low level comms tasks (like drafting press releases) to our new 'intern', Chad (aka Chat GPT.)

Chad isn't terrible. It needs close oversight and very careful instructions but generally...I'm not mad at it.

Chad sometimes makes shit up but you know how interns are -- always running before they can walk.

I haven’t mentioned much about it yet, but I’m going to #BootMyUte (aka get a #Hystorectomy) in just three weeks. I’ve wanted one since I was 26! (40 now) I’m also a recently (~ 1 yr +) out #enby. Bespoke #Pronouns Day/Dem/Dares, it’s okay to ask about them. I work as a senior #NonprofitComms leader in #HumanServices. Love my job. Hate that it’s needed. Wish for a kinder world.
