@maryhamermusic yeah, I use so many self-care apps! #insighttimer for meditation, #noom for weight loss, #reframe for drinking, #Endel for concentrating. #zero is fine; apart from the timer, it has articles about the science of fasting and related topics; it has challenges, and it can integrate with your other health trackers (through the Health app on an iPhone for example) so you can check the interactions among exercise, sleeping, and fasting, etc.

So I’ve lost 55 pounds and I’ve been on NOOM for almost 2 years. A lot recently has been maintenance. I weeded out my closet and this is all that’s left. And those are all my shoes. Majority don’t fit anymore! I did it with zero exercise. I have fibromyalgia and just can’t do it. Super proud of myself though!

Buy her a subscription to #Noom and encourage her to go to #WeightWatchers. Those are the only ones that I've heard actual *long-term* success stories from.
Lots of people lose weight for a few months. Keeping it off and living life-long with a diet requires more understanding of what you eat and why you eat it.
Also, have her doctor run a full #PCOS blood panel and check for PCOS. It's a common reason women have problems losing weight, but it's too often undiagnosed. (I wasn't properly diagnosed until I was 50.)
The symptoms are various & not all are usually present in any one patient. It can affect a lot of aspects of our lives and we don't realize it. Too many doctors dismiss it or don't recognize it.
The treatment depends on the blood test results & symptoms.
My weight loss was frustrating because everyone around me was losing weight, and I couldn't lose any more, despite far more work at it. I didn't know I had PCOS, at the time.

I keep on catching glances of my reflection at the Gym and it’s amazing to me how far I’ve progressed. From 330# to 253#. Almost all of it was #COVID and #Noom, until I met this lovely miracle plant. Now #Cannabis seems to be regulating willy-nilly inside me. Sleep, attention, focus, creativity, humor, a reduction in anger, effortless meditation, and appetite control. Could it be that #Cannabis addressed my food issues too?
So... I ordered a scale through #Noom from, apparently, a whole nother company called #Withings. No order number and no tracking information and after contacting both companies, no one wants to help, no one has any information and on top of that Withings phone number is disconnected.
I got tired of the run around so I reported both to the #BBB. Hopefully someone will get their shit together
Starting #noom again. Gained 15lbs from when I stopped (after losing 55lbs). Now, it is time to drop that 15+ another 20lbs!
My goal is to be under 200lbs by May!
When I get there, it will be the 1st time being under 200 in 2.5 decades!!!😀

2.5lbs down in the first week and I feel amazing! I’m trying to do this slowly and in a way I can sustain into the future, and so far it feels very sustainable. The biggest change this week has been more cooking less takeout. My bank account is thanking me too :)
Started #Noom (again) a few days ago. As this is not my first time on a weight loss journey, it definitely feels like an impossible task. While the years since Covid have been good for many things in my life (wfh ftw!) my waist line has not been one of them.
