In the Spanish town of Terrassa, about a half hour outside of Barcelona, a supporter of the far right party Vox tried to stab another man who had walked by the Vox stall in a public plaza and shouted “fascistas fuera!” (fascists out!).

The Vox supporter chased the other man and, according to the victim, attempted to stab him three times. The victim didn’t sustain any serious injuries, but the police did fine him €2,000 for “attitudes contrary to personal dignity and discriminatory behavior” – a hate speech violation. The assailant is also under investigation, but hasn’t been charged.
