@sigmasternchen since I switched to #nopoo I wash my hair about once or twice a week.
Shampooless meaning washing my hair with water only. They just don't get greasy that fast. And weirdly, washing with water only and rinsing with cold water has the same result as earlier with shampoo. No smell, no grease, just fluffy hair. I love it.

when you're #woke on #nopoo but also can't be #assed to actually do it

In de Volkskrant een stuk over de #nopoo-beweging die pleit voor leven zonder haarshampoo. Ik heb dat ooit gedaan! Begin jaren 90. Ik zag een programma op tv: dat je met shampoo de beschermende vetlaag van je haar verwijdert en hem er dan weer op doet met conditioner: onzinnig. Daarna alleen nog gewassen met water. Ging jaren goed. Het haar voelt wel anders aan. Ermee gestopt toen ik verhuisde naar Leiden waar het water harder was. Toen werd mijn haar te hard.

@darklyadapted Also that article is pretty useless for “how to”! My only real tip for short showers is to do everything outside of the shower that you can (shaving, brushing teeth, etc) and to look into the “#NoPoo” method of #HairCare, where you keep your hair clean without washing it (or washing it infrequently.) These days I have short hair anyway so I just get it wet and scrub my scalp with my fingertips or a plastic scalp brush and call it done. Also those automatic shower timers they mention in the article are good. For a while I had a waterproof clock radio thingy that at least told the time so you can see how long you’ve spent, while listening to music.

In Australia during droughts we also usually keep a bucket in the shower, to catch any water expended while waiting for it to heat up, or that just generally falls into it while you shower. You can then use that bucket to water your #garden when there’s a hose/sprinkler ban.
