Die etymologische Aufarbeitung des Nordfriesischen ist ein Desiderat und sollte schleunigst behoben werden.

Entweder zu #litauisch strùbas adj. 'kurz, stumpf' oder zu #altkirchenslawisch strъpьtьnъ adj. 'rau, uneben', #lettisch strupjš, strups adj. 'kurz, abgestutzt'. Alles unsicher.
