I used to buy stuff at Nordstrom, but hadn’t in many years. This trip reminded me why.
The categories of clothes they had were:
1) Fancy dresses
2) Stuff for teens/kids
3) Stuff my mom would wear
Nothing hip and casual, the stuff most SF women I know would be tempted buy. Of COURSE they are floundering. Their stock sucks.

It's a shift that's so severe that this mall's developer (Westfield) has decided to leave the U.S. market altogether.

A made-up excuse about performance given just to cull the workforce by about 20% for the new CTO that's come in demanding it. He's just reported that a fellow employee who'd been there 20 years was just let go as well. No severance pay (or as good as none) for anyone. And this is why no company you work for deserves your loyalty. Do what you're paid to do and do no more.
