In our consultative ballot 68% of Unite members who voted said they're prepared to take industrial action over the #PGRsAsStaff redundancies. Turnout was 84%. We remain committed to holding meaningful consultation on their future with our employer. 1/2
Our consultative ballot on the #PGRsAsStaff redundancies will close in less than 48 hours. The UniteUCU committee continues to GTVO whilst trying to agree a way forward with the employer to ensure meaningful consultation

Regrettably the redundancy notices issued to our two members who lead UCU's #PGRsAsStaff campaign leads have not, as of this evening, been withdrawn. We were left with no option but to open our consultative ballot on taking action. We urge members to vote yes.
Redundancy notices have been served on two fixed-term #PGRsAsStaff Unite members. Their project was endorsed, extended & expanded at #ucucongress23 but the employer has refused to withdraw the redundancy notices despite repeated requests. 1/2
