I've been dealing with a pretty gnarly move, which has kept me busy the past month or so, but that's finally over so: new post!

Last week I took my usual spring drive up to the North Cascades, and my friend Lisa Jordan of Kyr Creates (https://kyrcreates.com/) joined me. She painted, I photographed, and a good time was definitely had by all!

For #MountainMonday I have this photograph I made waaay back in 2009. This is Table Mountain in the Bagley Lakes area (near Mount Baker) of the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest in Washington State, USA. The sun had set behind the mountains and my old camera struggled a bit with the dynamic range. I reprocessed this image in 2015. The trouble with looking at old photographs is I'm tempted weak it again!

An Eastern Cottontail (Sylvilagus floridanus) keeping an eye on me at Cheam lake Wetlands in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada. An invasive species, this rabbit is now quite common where I live in southwestern BC. Looking forward to some spring and summer hikes- this is False #Hellebore, or #cornlily (Veratrum californicum.) This one is in #NorthCascades #NationalPark in #Washington State but can be found in most wet meadow areas of western mountains but even on the east coast. i have seen it at #Catoctin Mountain in #Maryland though a different species. Poisonous to people and most mammals #Nature #Flowers #Botany
