I really love working on personalized commission pieces, because I get to know some amazing humans on a deeper level. I loved hearing about the aspects of nature that spoke to this family as well as coming up with a unique marking to represent the individual interests of each of the family members. Happy ! Today is a beloved holiday in Sweden and other parts of Scandinavia. St. Lucia's Day is a celebration of light in the long, dark winters. As with most legends, the story has many versions. Generally they come back to St. Lucia wearing a crown of candles to light the way as she brought food to those in hiding.
