A little body of water near Boulder Junction, Wisconsin, known as Turtle Pond. It was established as a fish rearing operation in the 1950s by the predecessor of what is today known as the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. I got this shot with a Nikon D50 in November, 2012.

Couldn’t resist another sunset shot right out the back door. God damn, it’s beautiful.

Got the police scanner and ash tray in there but otherwise, a pretty Sunday sunset forming here in this little corner of the Wisconsin northwoods.

It’s 47 degrees up yonder in this part of the great northwoods of Wisconsin and damn if I didn’t carve a little hole out of the snow ondeck, set up the folding chair (since the Adirondack is still buried) and enjoy some hot tea, tunes and a cigar on deck for the first time in 2023. I’m doin’ it now ‘cause my chores are done and the forecast for next weekend doesn’t sound conducive to such shenanigans.

Took Jagger out a little while ago and looked to my right skyward; lovely moon. I call this “Roof ice dam by moonlight.”
