Only got one DIY rain barrel figured out today. Found a random rooted section from the Bartlett pear tree and planted it just because. Of course a buried metal cart just had to be in the spot I chose. Luckily, was able to slide over a bit. #Zone5b #gardening #NorthernIllinois

Soil temp is above 40. Turned the no-longer-frozen compost pile. Maybe I'll get some peas down tomorrow. Wish there was some rain in the forecast though.
Nice to see all the bulbs from the fall come up. I may even see a crocus bloom if the rabbits continue to miss it. #Zone5b
