My last night on North Uist before the long journey home. A wonderful week of wild things in this beautiful place, only slightly dampened by a very nasty eye infection… But promptly dealt with by our amazing SNHS, Not ideal when it’s your camera eye!

We travel north across the North Ford causeway North Uist. The island measures some 18 miles from east to west by 12 miles from north to south, and with innumerable lochans has one of the most complex topographies you are likely to find anywhere.
