A brief sunny ☀️ interlude produced from one spot at least 10 singing skylarks, 5 lapwings in territorial display with attendant females and merlin going across the marsh like Concorde. No migrants along the coastal footpath to #Berwick-Upon-Tweed and all the stonechat seem to have done a runner 🤷‍♂️

A quiet dreary day

Car stuck on Holy Island Causeway in a rising tide.
Called this into the emergency services a few minutes ago. Good job there's a Refuge on the Causeway for such events. With some many tide tables and signs warning of this I'm still surprised it occurs. Occupants are safe but think the vehicle will be a mess. #LindisfarneNNR #NorthumberlandCoast #northumberland
No further action is required as emergency services have the situation under control.
