I have tried for ....days to get this 62 Cadillac engine to fire.

Nothing.

Verified: Top dead center of compression stroke
Verified: plug No. 1 gets spark...somewhat consistently.

Thats the issue really. I think. It was difficult to tell exactly WHERE the cap was supposed to sit in relationship to the rotor.

And if you can't set that...forget it.

So, your engine not cranking over, can be scary when it first happens.
