Nessa would absolutely run.

She doesn't care at all for fashion. She grew up on a farm, she's used to working hard in dirty surroundings. She rides a motorcycle that's practical and robust.

And all and any kind of makeup would be lost after a shift anyway.

Not at all.

Nessa just wants to stay alive, find her siblings and possibly build a new life after losing her parents. And support Nick.

Nick lives the life of a Wolf nomad, roaming the Southeast of the US. When he is challenged to protect the strong, slender Wolf girl, he clings to his honor. That's all.

#WritingWonders 4/24: Are there any tropes that you purposely chose to include or avoid?

I choose to have strong women as main characters. I very much dislike the damsel in distress trope (I might turn it around). I also like strong men with a soft touch - because to me that's much more appealing than pure macho.

Definitely avoiding rape tropes (although Nessa does get molested once).

Nessa is not really likely to. But if she were to cosplay, she might go as Dogmeat, with Nick playing the player char.

There is a scene in the book where she poses as a guard dog. (Great fun to write that!)

All in all, my Wolves make good use of their fur shape at several points in the books.

Nessa likes Reg's open laugh and red hair. She's delighted he immediately agrees to protect her and have his biker gang escort her to Ashton.

Reg is a strong Wolf and a clear leader, and she admires that. At least until it becomes obvious he has no honor.

@jamminjerry @talon I have XBox gamepess on my desktop and of course Steam and too many emmulators to count. My nas and system are mostly full from games, honestly, from just about every system.

But the XBox app isn't all that accessible, and dealing with 3rd party developers and their interfaces is crap, especially EA.

My computer is pretty specked out and even still I've had nothing but problems getting Nvidia to play along with even games from four or five years ago.

Steam is better in this regard, most of the time, Gog is good too, and honestly, we can talk shit all day but pirating #nosteam content is the best way to go about thing imo unless you're trying to stick with console gaming.
