About notabug.org [1]: Ethical git hoster according to GNU philosophy [2]. Might not have all the fancy features of a hoster like github or gitlab, but in contrast is run by the Peers community [3], who are friendly people whom one can talk to on their IRC [4]. Also probably due to way fewer users seems to be a lot faster when I push commits.

This is #NotABug but a feature.

The same legal system delivers more planet-wrecking profit-making to the already wealthy on the say-so of a #corrupt government that has consistently aligned with #DirtyEnergy while denying the scientifically-backed evidence of #Indigenous truth-tellers.

@nathanaelcbr Yes, that's the point: to make you so frustrated you give up and stop applying.

Cruelty and mismanagement are not bugs, they are features of a system that has been broken by design by those who think poverty ought to be punished, since people get what they deserve and if you are poor then you must deserve it, hence punishment.

The purpose of this belief is revealed by its correlate: I deserve my privilege and comfort and do no need to feel any empathy or pain for those who needlessly suffer on unimaginable scales. I can put them out of my mind, confident that they, like me, are getting what they deserve.

This is the core of #conservative politics, and is known as #JustWorldBelief. It entails #VictimBlaming as a core commitment. And justifies the deliberate infliction of cruelty (even the petty but real bureaucratic cruelty of pointlessly bad design for a welfare system).

@gitea says they're going to create a DAO, which is NOT a welcome move outside the cryptocurrency/NFT community. This does affect services such as #NotABug and @Codeberg, but I'm confident these services will find ways to survive the crypto bros' newfound dominion over self-hosted Git forges.
