It is strange that my mastodon-via-browser screen shows some attachments as a pale rectangle with "not available" in the middle, but when I click on them they do open in a new tab.

So, if it says "not available" it may be mistaken!

I got #NotAvailable on a #Video that would not show up...unless I went to the instance #AusSocial and then it played fine.

This is not how the #Fediverse is supposed to work.

I was thinking about why your #video would not load when I'm getting a message #NotAvailable.

Downloading it took 71 Megabytes, perhaps that's why.

#VLC told me some additional info.

Except being encoded in H264 - MPEG-4 AVC Part 10, it's #VideoResolution is 1920x1080.

Not exactly a thing that mobile devices will particularly like or need.

I'm on PC so it shouldn't affect me...though it does so...it can remain a #mystery.

Why do some #servers have the flowing message when you check their #ModeratedServers list? 🤔
