For my MissionAssist typing the Bible volunteer work I have been attempting to keep everything to #FOSS. Been using #Notepadqq for the Text edit work. For reading of PDFs, but especially with highlighting and notes, I have been using #Xournal++ (wonderful program).
However, today I was sent a scan of the book of Jonah in a foreign language. Xournal++ opens the PDF file as blank pages!!??
The other PDF readers I have installed read the file fine but do not highlight or take notes.
So..... I installed #Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 2015 via #PlayOnLinux (Wine). It works, but does not feel right! Not at all.

@jesse I've actually been pretty happy with #notepadqq on Linux but when on a Mac im really at a loss. Bbedit isn't quite as good

Another reason to feel good about moving to #Linux Mint Cinnamon and permanently ditching #Windows is #Microsoft management turning the most trivial of feature point releases into a huge marketing event like they invented it.

Seriously, who needs a pestering corporate attention seeker adding to the distraction and cognitive load?

I have #Notepadqq installed on Linux as an equivalent to #Notepad++ on Windows. (Ideally it would cover all OS.)
